The little log cabin was great. It was fresh and very clean, even to our high standards. It was peaceful and serene, comfortable, and a great property for bringing the kids and dog. We would stay here again.

The cabin is adorable! The improvements are great! Decor is good...couch very comfortable. We really enjoyed the front porch. Great wifi signal...no phone service but we were perfectly ok with that...I didn't mind that my phone didn't and couldn't ring!!

My husband and I came for a babymoon with our German shepherd puppy. At six months pregnant, this was the perfect place to take advantage of some of my last chances to hike and cycle before our baby comes. Pisgah forest is less than five minutes away! It was cozy and comfortable for us, easy to prepare most of our meals at home and relax at the end of the day, and town was just a 10 minute drive when we dined out. We also loved listening to the creek as our white noise overnight. And our German shepherd - she had the time of her life running around on the property and in the creek! The hose in the back made it easy to clean her after her the muddy hikes. Great property for a pup!

The house was very well maintained and clean. Nice deck to sit on.

Communication by text was timely and complete. We received the lock code and instructions both by email and by text in a timely manner. The lock code was correct and we were able to unlock the door without any problems. Check-out instructions were clear and easy to follow.

We love Deerwoode and look forward to our return. A most enjoyable stay.

We loved Bear Cabin! It was impossibly clean, comfy, and quiet. There was more than enough space for the two of us, our baby, and our two dogs. We'll definitely be back!

LOVE THIS COTTAGE - My second time staying there.

Everyone was super friendly and helpful.

This exceeded my expectations. The property and trails were easy to navigate (my dog enjoyed the extra walking). The large pond was beautiful (caught a decent sized large mouth). I enjoyed the front porch of the Bear Cabin (which is a spectacular cabin) for morning coffee and evening 'porch sittin'. My son went to Brevard College and now teaches/coaches at Rosman High School - he had no idea this property was there... he loved it!

Very clean and fresh layout of the house. Awesome location.
